who's sane?
|
it just goes to show you how important a news outlet thinks a story is when there is massive evidence present that they didn't proofread before posting. i can just hear them in their offices, papers flying, on the phone with all their guys out there, eyes open and hearts pumping... get that story out there NOW!
yes, cnn.com has put a story on their web site like just now about saddam hussein's death. reading, in memorable font and sepia pictures, "saddam hussein, 1937-2006"
he is supposed to be being killed about now actually; on the other side of the world. quick to end him before 2007.
broken links to other stories, type-o's, and half of sentences pasted in front of other sentences (to be read a little futher down too) are just a few of the clues that leads me to think they did some copy paste and didn't proofread before they had to publish it (before he dies, or maybe before the other media giants report it)
oops, wait...
they just posted that hussein is reported dead now by 1 reporter. AND they changed the title of the entire article to "hussein executed"
ya, quick on their toes these guys.

WoW

i've been playing the "world of warcraft" 10 day trial.
if you don't know what "world of warcraft" is then you probably haven't sat down and played a computer game in the last 2 years. look it up on wiki or google it.
its the most popular MMORPG in the world.
i actually remember liking the original "warcraft" when that came out in the mid 90s. it was the predescessor to "age of empires," actually. but WoW is not the same thing and shouldn't be compared to the original.
and here's the scoop on the game for all ya'll that wanna know what the big deal is:
ya it can get pretty addictive when you are given a new quest every 30 min and you have to work your way up all the levels. and the world is gigantic and relatively detailed.
i found myself passing the time as "swuteimsayin" the magic-weilding gnome.
the music is very simple. mostly chords and decorative harp or chimes or something. no grammy nominations but it does fit the general "feel" of the game. all except for the low-quality samples they used for the instruments. it is all painfully midi-sounding. no real instruments here. but its ok as long as you keep the music volume pretty low.
i don't understand the server qeue.
it tells you what number you are in the qeue, like say the "world" is full and you have 51 people in front of you. then it tries to give you an estimated waiting time.
and i was fine with waiting around to play. after all, mr. and mrs. smith was on and i didn't have to stare at my monitor.
but the number is erratic. i was number 52, then i was number 85, then 12, then 33, and so on.
isn't the qeue supposed to go only 1 direction? down, right?
i felt like people were cutting in front of me or something.
not sure how that works but it was really annoying and eventually what stopped me from playing.
southpark did a parody of it called "make love not warcraft" and its very funny (coz alot of the stereotypes are *sigh* depressingly true). and o ya, if you really wanna watch it, you'll have to deal with the french subtitles because comedy central has swept up all the real versions on the internet.Labels: WoW world of warcraft swuteimsayin underwearninja |

the new transformers movie trailer looks disappointing.
like it missed the mark.
it looks like the movie was made by a couple old guys that have no idea what transformers are all about coz they were way too old when transformers were popular so they put their spin on it.
the special effects look good.
the movie itself looks possibly action-packed.
and it looks disappointing because it won't be about transformers.
it will instead be about giant alien futuristic machines that can take the shape of vehicles.
if you can't tell the difference then you'll like the disappointment that will be released on july 4th.Labels: transformers michael bay disappointment |

That's what I'm talking about: Manhole covers! The problem with our country is we don't have an manhole cover style points.
Most of those Christmas displays were pathetic, but several were not bad. Also, whoever took some of those pictures needed to turn the flash off (duh).

I needed that laugh.
Those holiday decorations were hilarious. Of COURSE they were pathetic, that's why they're on the website.
I like my decorations a little on the trashy side.
I'm sharing that page.

it works with firefox
you tell it what kinda website you want to see, then press "stumble".
it brings up a random site based on your preferences and user ratings.
i have found so many sites on video games, comics, pictures, and just funny/interesting things. I love this stumble thing! |
