happy saturday after thanksgiving one and all!
|
ahhh!
sitting here with my bottle of courvoisier, enjoying holiday spirits, relaxing by the fire. this truly is a nice, relaxing saturday after thanksgiving; a holiday seldom celebrated outside elite circles.
well ok, so i have a glass of egg nog, watching monty python, and the heating gas is fizzling slowly by the blanket-stuffed window. but it still remains an elitist holiday nary celebrated by most life forms.
the saturday after thanksgiving is, after all, one of the more joyous of holidays that few recall. there has been a long-standing tradition in my family that noone should work on that holiday. and we have kept this tradition alive for generations. other fanciful perks of saturday after thanksgiving is sleeping in, watching tv, and generally making merry. and of course another longstanding tradition of this holiday is that all the stores are open. it wouldn't be saturday after thanksgiving without it. it is, in my opinion, the 7th best holiday all the year! so happy saturday after thanksgiving to all! |
