blankets...

a graphic novel that takes about 4 hours to read. love it love it.
its frigin brilliant. but it centers more on the emotional side of the events during childhood and teenhood so if you haven't experienced the things he writes about first hand, then it might not hold as much meaning to you. i've noticed that when it comes to parts that i haven't been through, i feel detached. it's just words and pictures. but the parts that i have been through, it strikes a home run on the how well he captures the emotion of the moment in his drawings.
anyway, that's been my bedtime read and just thought i'd put it out there. |
