no, i don't work for the INS

| i saw a homeless guy with a cardboard sign that said "we're all immigrants" and it made me angry. how dare he try to make spare change by riding a current political gimmick. but its just what homeless people do i guess (remembering "happy superbowl!"). ya ok the pilgrims were immigrants and set up a colony without permission, but i seem to recall them welcoming us by teaching us how to fish and crap anyway. its not like they had a clear idea about property ownership either. and what was ellis island all about? was that the county fair? no. it was a place where millions of immigrants got processed. my point is, yes we're all immigrants, but we're all immigrants with papers. and congress is trying to account for all our immigrants. what is the big hubub about that? if you want to have a better life in the land of opportunity then stand up and be counted! i mean, i want a better life too but i can't just throw all my furniture in the 4 seasons and call it home. immigration is great, but illegal immigration sux |
